Meet the Managers
Hello, my name is Beth Goodwin and I am the nursery manager of Bright Beginnings. I have been working at Brighton Beginnings since April 2019, I first started as a key worker, after a year I became the supervisor of the Toddler Unit and was in this role until March 2025. During that time I also had the role of deputy manager before becoming the full time manager in March 2025.
During my time at Bright Beginnings I have loved working my way up from a key worker to manager and experiencing all the different roles the nursery has to offer.
In my spare time I enjoy watching football, doing puzzles and spending time with my family.
My name is Becky Cogan, and I have worked in the childcare industry for over 20 years.
My journey began at Tots and Time Out Nursery in 1999 as a student, and through dedication and passion, I progressed to Nursery Manager by 2004. In November 2012, I had the incredible opportunity to purchase Tots and Time Out, followed by Bright Beginnings in August 2015.
I can truly say I’ve never looked back—I absolutely love my job. Every child who walks through our doors is unique and special, and it’s their curiosity, laughter, and growth that make my role so rewarding.
We pride ourselves on creating a warm, home-from-home environment where children are nurtured and cared for in beautiful surroundings, with high-quality resources and a dedicated, passionate team.
A little bit about me…
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my two daughters, taking our dog on long walks, discovering new places, going to the gym, staying active, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Hello everyone, my name is Emma Cogan and I have worked in childcare since January 2021. I started my career at Tots and Time Out Nursery and worked there for 3 years, I started as an apprentice and then became a keyworker. I then moved over to Bright Beginnings Nursery in January 2024 for a promotion to Pre-School Unit Supervisor and Junior Deputy Manager. I am now the Deputy Manager at Bright Beginnings and am loving learning and growing in my role.
I love building bonds with the children and watching them learn and grow during their time in my care. I enjoy sharing daily experiences with them and ensuring their time with me is filled with fun. I am also really enjoying learning and becoming more confident in the management side of my role too.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing competitive netball and keeping fit in the gym. I also love spending time with my family.
